Ali Ibrahim Al Hammadi Distinguished Graduate and Member of the Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Award

First, tell us about yourself.
I am Ali Ibrahim Ahmed Al Hammadi, a government employee and a proud graduate of Al Ain University – College of Communication and Media. I graduated top of my class, was listed on the University Honor List three consecutive times, and currently serve as a member and assessor for the Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Award.

 

Tell us about your academic journey. What does Al Ain University mean to you?
My academic journey was full of beautiful, enjoyable, and exciting experiences. Al Ain University played a pivotal role in my academic development by offering an outstanding educational environment—through a strong academic program, a dedicated faculty, and excellent administrative support. The College of Communication and Media especially had a significant impact on shaping my academic foundation, and I am deeply grateful to its staff and respected professors.

 

What is your career experience and professional growth?                                                                                                 My professional journey is in continuous progress. I am currently pursuing a Diploma in Government Excellence at Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University. I also obtained a distinguished certificate that qualifies me to work as a certified assessor for the Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Award.

 

Why did you choose your field of study? What are your future ambitions?
I chose this major because of my passion for media and communication. Being a photographer, I was one of the first students to take the initiative in documenting events at the College of Communication and Media. Some of my photographs were even showcased in the college corridors—a moment of pride for me. My aspirations continue, God willing, and I always strive to achieve greater success.

 

How did Al Ain University support your professional career?
The university supported me by helping me:

    All of these elements helped me build a strong academic and professional foundation.

 

Do you have any volunteer or community involvement?                                                                                                         

Volunteering is an essential part of my life. I never hesitate to participate in any available volunteer opportunity because it plays a vital role in developing skills and connecting with different segments of society. I hope that Al Ain University continues to promote this culture among students, as it positively impacts personal growth and community development.

 

What do you believe is the role of a graduate towards their university and community?    

Toward the university: Represent it honourably and contribute to its development.

Toward society: Share knowledge and experience and serve the community to help build a prosperous future.

                                 

Based on your experience, how can one achieve balance between personal and professional life?
Challenges and pressure are part of life, especially for students who are also employees. However, determination, willpower, and patience are key to overcoming them. Support from family, friends, and professors played a major role, and the understanding and flexibility shown by the faculty toward working students was a remarkable advantage during my academic journey.

  • Award from Xposure Photography Festival – Sharjah
  • Award from Al Dhafra Municipality Competition
  • Photo published on National Geographic’s social media account
  • Organized a photography studio at the Al Dhafra Festival in Madinat Zayed
  • Another studio at the Al Dhafra Book Fair in Madinat Zayed

Consistent follow-up, Attention to detail (grades, reports, notes) , Never be careless, as staying engaged helps grow your skills and refine your personality.
