Nahyan Bin Mubarak attends the 11th Batch Graduation Ceremony of AAU Students

 

Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, Al Ain University celebrated the 11th Batch Graduation Ceremony at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, in the presence of number of ministers and deputy ministers, representatives of the governmental and private institutions, representatives of diplomatic missions in UAE, Members of the Board of Trustees, College’s Deans and Deputy Deans, AAU academic and administrative staff and the graduates’ families.

The celebration started with the National Anthem, then His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan presented a speech on this occasion expressing his happiness in celebrating the 11th batch’s graduation ceremony. He wished the graduating students who are to face a new stage in their lives with self-confidence and to be proud of their nation.

He said: “Today we are proud of the university and its graduates, and at the same time we express our pride and appreciation for our country (UAE) in all fields, which represents a unique and developed civilization model in coexistence, tolerance, reconstruction, construction, stability and prosperity. Tonight is the most appropriate time, as we celebrate to express our deepest thanks and highest sense of loyalty and respect for His Highness and our father, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan –UAE President, may God protect him– and to express our gratefulness for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Education Council- who has continuously provided the United Arab Emirates and all the educational institutions with, successful, distinguished and advanced educational model in the whole world, that have produced successive prevailing and progressions for the sons and daughters of our dear homeland".

At the end of his speech, His Excellency Nahyan Bin Mubarak congratulated the graduates and wished them a successful and productive future.

From his side, Dr. Atatreh, expressed his delight with the graduates and his happiness towards a new educated generation of youth, he added that this  celebration is a culmination of the UAE wise leadership support of education that keeps abreast of all developments in this area to upgrade the educational system and stressed on the keenness of Al Ain University to keep updated with the latest educational developments and in achieving the highest efficiency and quality in higher education and scientific research.

Dr. Atatreh stressed on that the Al Ain University has become one of the leading academic educational facility in interacting and cooperating with the various sectors of the community, focusing in scientific research and encourage the researchers, stressing on that the university will continue in characterizing the interest of scientific excellence.

He also added that the university is proud to graduate intellectuals, innovative and positive youth who are able to meet the real world challenges, stressing on that this day is a day of pride for all, where the excellence and success comes only after perseverance, diligence and hard work and Al Ain University has been and is still keen to provide a high-quality education within an environment equipped with everything that meets the student’s needs which encourage them to innovate. At the end of his speech, Dr. Atatreh congratulated all graduates and their parents and wishing everyone a good future full of achievements.

For his part, Prof. El Refae extended his warmest congratulations on behalf of Al Ain University to the graduates and their parents, stressing on that this achievement came from joint efforts of several parties, first, the student’s diligence and his superiority to complete the educational achievement, second, their parents who provides them with a suitable environment and finally, their university which provided the students the best academic environment to achieve the highest grades. He also encouraged the students to continue in seeking more knowledge and developing their minds and characters and wished them all the success in their professional and scientific future.
