Artificial Intelligence using Google tools workshop

Organized by the Alumni Office at Al Ain University, a virtual workshop titled "Artificial Intelligence Using Google Tools" was held, presented by Renad Turki.
The workshop covered several topics, including a brief overview of artificial intelligence, AI tools that contribute to increased productivity, and a recipe for creating effective guidelines. Artificial intelligence was defined as intelligent digital systems trained on large amounts of data, used in various fields such as pattern prediction and content creation. Participants watched an introductory video about intelligent digital systems (robots) and then participated in an interactive activity through a quick drawing experience, enhancing their interaction with AI tools in an innovative way.
The workshop also addressed the concept of generative AI, highlighting its most prominent limitations and warnings, such as the potential for "hallucination" or the provision of inaccurate information, its heavy reliance on data quality and impartiality, and the need for caution when handling confidential data. The workshop also reviewed the ethical principles Google adheres to in developing AI technologies, including: achieving social benefit, avoiding unfair bias, ensuring safety, being accountable to people, respecting privacy, and maintaining scientific excellence. Finally, four practical ways AI tools can be used to boost productivity were highlighted: summarizing content, learning and understanding, creating content, and automating daily tasks.
